Spectator information

Access to Courtown Harbour between the hours of 6am and 5pm

We ask for your co-operation. Please take note of these suggested routes for Spectators coming from different parts of the Country. These routes endeavour to ensure that all traffic does not converge on one single road. In effect these options should reduce traffic delay if adhered to.

Directions

Parking

If the parking in the village becomes full with triathlon, beach goers etc.. a Park and Ride facility will take effect on the outskirts of the village. People will park the cars and take a shuttle bus and be dropped off 500 metres from the village. There will be a €5 charge for parking (per car) to cover costs and the remainder will go to a local charity.

From North – Dublin (Central)

Look out for Wexford signs.

  • Start at the N11 on the Southside of the city or alternatively use the M50 to avoid the City Centre. Both roads converge at the M11 which then becomes the N11 again.
  • Continue down the N11. This road by-passes Arklow.
  • When past Gorey you will see a "Welcome to Wexford" sign. Further down this dual carriage way you will see a sign for EXIT 22 for both INCH & GOREY. Take this exit and the race signs will direct you from here.

From North – Dublin (West)

  • Head out the N81 to Tallaght. Continue to Blessington.
  • Follow the N81 to Baltinglass and Tullow.
  • Continue south along the N81 until you reach the N80. From here take a left to Bunclody.
  • Progress to Bunclody along the N80.
  • Join the N11 and divert to Ferns and onto Camolin. Proceed through Camolin village and take the first turn to the Right. Follow signs from here,

Upper Midlands - From Carlow/ Tullow

  • Progress to Bunclody along the N80.
  • Join the N11 and divert to Ferns and onto Camolin.
  • Proceed through Camolin village and take the first turn to the Right.
  • Follow signs from here.- there will be signs to guide you to the Car parks in Courtown.

Midlands – From Kilkenny

The most direct route is on the R702 into Borris, Ballymurphy, Kilealy & into Enniscorthy.
From Enniscorthy:

  • Take the R744 to Blackwater (along the route passing Kilcotty, Ballanghkeen, Castlellis).
  • In Blackwater follow the sign to Kilmuckridge on the R742.
  • There will be signs to guide you from here to the Car parks in Courtown.

South West – From Waterford

  • Continue along the N25 to New Ross.
  • Follow the N25 to Wexford Town.
  • Proceed into Wexford Town.
  • When along the Quays of Wexford cross over the Bridge onto the R741.
  • Drive for 3km until you see a sign for Curracloe / Blackwater.
  • Take this turn to the Right onto the R742. Proceed to Curracloe followed by Blackwater and then Kilmuckridge.
  • There will be signs to guide you from here to the Car parks in Courtown.
